October 2, 2025: As of today, a strike is highly likely, and families are being advised to make alternative arrangements for childcare. While further talks are possible before the October 6 deadline, it is currently unclear if or when ATA and TEBA will return to the bargaining table. The government has also announced a parent payment program and learning resources for families with children aged 12 and under in the event of a strike.
